SEATTLE -- Rookie Angel Reese continued her WNBA record streak with 12 consecutive games achieving a double-double, propelling the Chicago Sky to an 88-84 victory over the Seattle Storm on Friday night.

Reese set a career-high with 27 points and added 10 rebounds. Leading the league in rebounds (11.8 per game) and offensive rebounds (4.8), she shot 8-of-13 from the field and successfully made both of her 3-point attempts. Reese was also impeccable from the free throw line, going 9-of-10, including a perfect 4-of-4 in the final 20 seconds of the game.

Her achievement of 12 consecutive double-doubles equals Candace Parker's WNBA-record streak across multiple seasons, matching Parker's accomplishment spanning the 2009 and 2010 seasons.

"I don't really focus on it," Reese commented about achieving double-doubles. "I just go out there and fulfill my role. Rebounding is my job, so I make sure to do that. I know my teammates rely on me for it, and I'm committed to delivering."

Chennedy Carter scored a season-high 33 points, shooting 15-of-24 from the field for the Sky.

Reese extended Chicago's lead to 78-70 with a crucial 3-pointer at the 6:16 mark. Seattle mounted a late comeback with Jewell Loyd's pull-up jumper and tip-in, narrowing the gap to four points with 4 minutes remaining. Jordan Horston's 3-pointer followed by Ezi Magbegor's consecutive baskets brought the Storm to within 84-82 with 20.2 seconds left before Reese secured the victory from the free throw line.

Seattle (13-7) had previously enjoyed a four-game winning streak, all victories by double-digit margins.

Horston led the Storm with a season-high 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting. Nneka Ogwumike contributed 16 points, Loyd added 13 points, and Magbegor recorded 13 points with 8 rebounds and a career-high 8 blocks. Skylar Diggins-Smith finished with 12 points and nine assists.
